pictured above are some of the methods I employed on Friday to try & feel better & get through that last bit of the week... seriously, you should see how tore-up my nose looks from the tissue...

but anyways, I fixed some minor things on the site tonight, but still have a bit to go from where I wanted to be...
plus, my Ubuntu got crippled recently in an incident involving a partial kernel update & an unfortunately placed glass of wine... & I swear this vista is slow enough to make you go back to real postal mail & skipping portable cd players... (& if you don't know what I'm talking about, I'll assume you're running 64)...
so, until I have time to reinstall (no no, I have to be awake)...

I've been drawing, writing, & coming up with things - it's just been real interesting trying to get it digital these days... but I think the days of that being an issue are just about past...

so, windows be damned! posts will be made!...

I really want to put up some tighter stuff again soon - I'll have to get on that this week...

oh, another thing - coloring with GIMP is kinda cool... who knew?
(I was expecting it to be a lot more clumsy than photoshop)

I don't think she was trying to portray this level of aloneness, but that's not exactly abnormal - people don't cover up as well as they think, for the most part...

& in that vein, happy V.D. - don't you love that that's the initials of Valentine's Day?...
it's funny, but my best Valentine's Days have been spent single... don't exactly know how that works, but yeah...
& good or bad, I've never really understood the need to hate on the day specifically, other than people being spurned or jealous or otherwise bitter - & believe you me, I've had just as much reason as any of us...

so this past weekend, I got around to watching the Highlander: The Search For Vengeance anime movie - I gotta say, it was kinda weak... the art/animation was fairly good, but the story missed a lot of the better things about the franchise, instead resorting to being another addition to the "dumber" of the anime collective... the story was a patchwork of slight alterations from a lot of the Highlander story elements so far - but not much of a spin on 'em... unless you think the "future" element is new (which alot of people might, if they never saw either version of the 2nd film)...
but about character - I was really annoyed with the main character... they gave me just about no reason at all to root for the character... why am I watching his "search for vengeance" (ugh) if I have no alternative but to think of him as a whiny, stubborn little wanker...
I mean, as far as the anime thing goes, Ninja Scroll's Jubei had very short sparse lines, but they still managed to make him endearing/entertaining...
but wow, I've already spent this much time & energy talking about this movie that I don't ever need to watch again...
so: basically it seemed like a crossing of the american cartoon series they made & Aeon Flux...



left wanting, I ended up watching The Game Plan with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson...
this one was funny & entertaining like I thought it would be, & somehow the combined personalities of the Rock & Madison Pettis diminished the "disney factor" enough for it to be a lot less stale then one would expect when seeing that header above the title...
it wasn't brain surgery, but it sure seemed to be after watching the previous movie...

alright, you cave dweller, you... since there's the new movie to be excited about soon, here's an Iron Man sketch/doodle I did at work today while I was waiting for the system to let me back in...

see, people may know I'm an X-Men guy, & they may also know I'm a Hulk guy, but that's probably where it ends - but I definitely have a soft spot for the guy in the rusty-jammies... when my friend Dave & I were in junior high, he had just gotten to evangelizing me in the way of Marvel - not a bad time either... the Captain America & The Avengers arcade game was just out, & you guessed it, my character of choice was Iron Man... & that inclination would inform my very first comic book purchase...



thus was the beginning of a thirst for a superior (yet under appreciated) medium...

*oh, & if anyone actually has looked at this thing in awhile, you may notice I've been redecorating... in preparation...
